May Boot Prints: Izzy O'Rourke

Each month, our Good Stewards receive a copy of Boot Prints, an internal company newsletter. In every issue, one employee is spotlighted. Our spotlighted employee for May is Izzy O'Rourke! Izzy is a Communications Associate who works from our headquarters office. She joined Good Steward Consulting this past December. Learn more about her below! 

Q. What does being a Good Steward mean to you?

A. To me, being a Good Steward means giving back to the communities that shaped who I am. Coming from an agricultural background, I understand the value of the land and the hard work farmers put into it, and I enjoy supporting them while building genuine relationships. It’s about having integrity, being creative in our work while staying true to our core values and making decisions that not only move projects forward but also create a positive, lasting impact on the people and communities involved.

Q. What is your favorite part of working at our company?

A. My favorite part of working at the company is the opportunity to travel and explore different parts of the United States. I also really enjoy attending events and seminars, where I can learn new information and continue to learn more about the industry.

Q. What do you like most about the work we do here?

A. What I like most is how intentional we are in everything we do. It makes the work feel meaningful and ensures we’re creating a positive impact.

Q. What do you think makes our team culture unique?

A. What makes our team culture unique is the camaraderie and how genuinely supportive everyone is. I’ve never been part of such an amazing work environment where people truly care about each other and enjoy working together.

Q. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

A. I would choose teleportation so I wouldn’t have to spend hours driving or flying to get places. I love to travel, and it would make seeing new places so much easier and more frequent.

Q. What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching?

A. I’m currently binge-watching One Tree Hill for probably the millionth time.

Q. What’s one thing on your bucket list?

A. One thing on my bucket list is traveling to Santorini, Greece. I did a project on the island in my high school history class and planned out different activities, so I’d love to experience those in real life one day.
