December Boot Prints: Rachel Olson

Each month, our Good Stewards receive a copy of Boot Prints, an internal company newsletter. In every issue, one employee is spotlighted. Our spotlighted employee for December is Rachel Olson! Rachel is a Communications Manager who works from her home in Iowa. Rachel joined Good Steward Consulting full-time in March of 2023. Learn more about her below! 

Q: What does being a Good Steward mean to you?

a: Being a Good Steward means representing the company with grace and professionalism, treating EVERY individual with compassion and understanding, even in moments of disagreement. By leading with empathy and seeking first to understand, we guide others toward great outcomes.

Q: What do you like most about the work we do here?

A: We always take the time to listen to people who are both positive and negative about renewable energy. Even if people disagree, we listen and sometimes even learn from the place they are coming from on the topic.

Q: What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

A: Do not sweat the small stuff, life is too short.

Q: How long have you been with the company?

A: 2 years, 8 months

Q: How did you get started in the industry?

A: Teresa Nicholson – Thanks, lady!!

Q: If you had three wishes, what would they be?

A: 1. World Peace

2. Long healthy lives for my family, friends, and me.

3. For my puppy to stop biting me.

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?

A: I have always wanted to be shot out of a canon, but if that doesn’t work out, I want to visit all 50 states and see all National Parks.
