Each month, our Good Stewards receive a copy of Boot Prints, an internal company newsletter. In every issue, one employee is spotlighted. Our spotlighted employee for August is Elizabeth Ament! Liz is a Communications Associate who works from her home in Michigan.
She joined Good Steward Consulting in January of 2025! Learn more about her below!

Q: What does being a Good Steward mean to you?
Being a Good Steward means doing my best to support members in our project communities and making sure they are well-informed and educated on project happenings. Forming relationships with community members is so important, and I love that our Good Stewards take pride in our “boots on the ground” efforts. We make a commitment to leaving a positive impact wherever we go and leave these communities better than we found them.
Q: What is your favorite part of working at our company?
A: My favorite part about working at GSC is the people I get to work with! I feel very lucky to work in an environment where everyone is so willing to help each other and lift each other up. I also love getting to know so many new people from all different walks of life through the connections we make within project communities.

Q: What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
A: One thing I wish people knew about my job (and the industry of renewable energy) is that we aren’t pushing for a 100% renewable world – we are pushing to diversify the energy portfolio. That’s why I love getting out into the project communities and talking with landowners and community members about how we can develop and grow their economies.
Q: What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?
A: One thing that surprised me about my role was how connected our team is with project communities. We form real relationships and truly want what is best for these communities we work in. I didn’t know how much education played a role in our communication efforts, and I’ve learned so much in the short time I’ve been with GSC.
Q: What's one thing people don't know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
A: One thing people may not know about me is that I lived in London, England for two years during high school. It’s the experience I am most grateful for in my life, and it’s still unfathomable to me that I was able to travel to 16 countries before I even graduated from high school! It’s impossible to choose my favorite trip, but going to Finland was one of my favorites because that’s where my family came from.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A: If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation. I love to travel, but I dislike the amount of time it takes to get to my destination. Imagine never having to miss a connecting flight or be stuck in an airport delay ever again! That’s the dream!
Q: If you had three wishes, what would they be?
A: If I had three wishes, I would wish for: Unlimited money to spend on travel, to own a shop that sold all of my favorite things, no matter how random they may be (sushi, cotton candy, golden retriever puppies, candles, kayaks & polaroid cameras), and to own a tropical resort where only my friends and family can stay.
Thanks for being on the team, Liz!
