May Boot Prints: Annalise Todd

Each month, our Good Stewards receive a copy of Boot Prints, an internal company newsletter. In every issue, one employee is spotlighted. Our spotlighted employee for May is Annalise Todd! Annalise is a Communications Manager who works from her home in Minnesota. She joined Good Steward Consulting full time in December of 2024! Learn more about her below!

Q: What does being a Good Steward mean to you?

A: To me, being a Good Steward means acting with respect, accountability, and for the betterment of the communities we serve and the planet we all share.

Q: What is your favorite part of working at our company?

Prior to working at GSC, I was a TV news anchor and reporter for seven years. That industry isn’t nearly as glamorous as it can sometimes look. What is glamorous is the flexibility, ability to work from home, work-related travel, teamwork, and grace given to me by my teammates and managers at GSC. At the end of the day, I always feel good about what I accomplished at work and the positive impacts GSC is making in communities.

Q: what do you like most about the work we do here?

A: I like knowing that my work is directly benefiting farming families and the communities our projects are in, because we’re helping small towns grow and be economically resilient while also maintaining their rural way of life. I love the feeling after pulling off a successful in-person event and being able to connect with landowners face-to-face.

Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?

A: I have my SCUBA certification!

Q: What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on here?

A: [Project] is my first and currently only project I’ve been assigned, but it’s interesting because it’s one of GSC’s only experiences with a dual wind and solar project and was paused for a few years, so it has its own unique challenges. We’ve had to be creative with how we are re-engaging with the community.

Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?

A: I read 125 books in 2024 and am currently on book 45 for 2025. I’m on the second-to-last book in the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. It’s a dystopian science fiction series set in the future on Mars and in space about a miner who joins a rebellion fighting an oppressive caste system and government that’s been abusing his race for generations.

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?

A: As soon as I have the space to do it, I’m getting a few chickens!

Thanks for being on the team, Annalise!
