Q: What does being a Good Steward mean to you?

A: To me, being a Good Steward means bridging gaps in communication and knowledge in the renewable energy industry while giving a supportive voice and creating an educational platform for landowners and the community to discuss and learn. Being a Good Steward to me means helping preserve rural towns by creating working relationships with renewable energy developments that can provide generations of economic and environmental benefits on a small scale and large scale.

Q: What is your favorite part of working at our company?

A: My favorite part of working at GSC is the emphasis on resilience, no matter the issue. The team, at every level of the company, is always able to identify, discuss, and solve problems collaboratively.

Q: What do you like most about the work we do here?

Demystifying renewable energy for people. Being able to take that time to sit down with a landowner or community member to listen to their concerns and provide them with factual information that helps ease or resolve their concerns.

Q: What's one thing people don't know about you that they would be surprised to find out?

I’ve been bitten by one of the top 10 most venomous spiders in North America.

Q: How has your role evolved since you’ve been here?

I’ve been with Good Steward Consulting since 2021 after graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I’ve worked in the Finance and Operations departments, growing my boots on the ground experience in Wind and Solar across 13 different Midwest

projects. Currently, I’m a Communications Associate working in Wind, Solar, BESS, and internal development.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Either the ability to make anyone laugh or the ability to restore life to the dead with the tap of my finger, like Ned in Pushing Daisies!

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?

One thing that has been on my bucket list since the third grade was to buy a vintage motor home to renovate and take on road trips, which I finally crossed off in May! #yeehaw

Thanks for being on the team, Maddy!
