Emma Thompson, a Marketing Associate for Good Steward Consulting was born and raised in rural West Central Minnesota. Growing up in her small town nicknamed "The Corn Capital," she was active in Girl Scouts and in her church. She most enjoyed her experiences being immersed in nature while attending summer camps and camping with family. Emma also loved when her father, a small business owner and volunteer fireman, would let her join him on the job site and tag along at practice fires and controlled burns. Her love for the outdoors, agriculture, and rural communities in general springs from these core memories of a warm and happy childhood in small town America. 

Emma left home for college and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Political Science emphasizing Public Health. She loves searching for where all three of her areas of academic study intersects; and has found a particular passion for the global health issues caused by a changing climate and lack of access to reliable and clean energy. As a Good Steward, she has found the opportunity to use her talents in an area where she sees the most need.

When not working, Emma likes spending time at the lake, kayaking, reading a good book in a hammock, and completing crafting projects with her Cricut. She also likes to take time to relax with family and her tuxedo cat, Belle.
