Human Resource Generalist 
Responsibilities & Duties

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Human Resources Generalist is an important part of the organizational support team at Good Steward Consulting. This position holder is responsible for assisting the VP of Finance with clerical workplace organization, meeting financial and reporting deadlines, and employee tracking and documentation.

  • Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices, including a full understanding of payroll practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and records. 

  • Execute onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations. 

  • Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain CSR standards conscripted by authorities. 

  • Process payroll and assist with documenting employee compensation and benefits and subcontractor agreements. 

  • Oversee HR events and meetings and coordinate management/employee communications. 

  • Manage lease contract terms and ongoing communication with lessees. 

  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency. 

  • General administrative duties as directed such as running errands, greeting visitors, note taking, conference call participation, emailing, etc.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources plus 2 years of experience 

  • Ability to office out of Albert Lea, MN, Evansville, IN, or east-central OH 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office. 

  • Valid driver’s license required. 

  • Background check required.
